He became a building contractor with a brother Sam. They specialized in residential home building and subdivision development in Granger, Murray, and Sandy.

I show 2 addresses for Grant and Mildred. 3865 S 3200 W and 3253 W 3500 S. I understand that they were building a new home at 3835 South (green home at the time of Mildred's death. They had three children, Lee Ann, Cory, and Glenda.  Mildred died of Leukemia at the age of 33 at the old William Bangerter home on 3200 West and 3835 South.

Grant married Geri Hamblin in October 1953. an outstanding woman who was instrumental in rearing Mildred's children along with 7 more Bangerter children that Grant and Geri had. It was always a wonderful unified family.

In 1958-1963 Grant, Geri and the Bangerter children moved to Brazil so that Grant could be the Mission President of the São Paulo Brazil LDS Mission. Several Bangerter children were born in Brazil.

Our hearts were broken when the Grant Bangerter family moved from Granger to large Farm in Alpine Utah.

Along with building homes, Grant was extremely active in the community and the LDS Church.
