A book about our Granger Airport and flying in the 50's

Our Granger Utah friend Phil Dellinger gave me a copy of an amazing book about the Utah Central Airport. It is written by a local, Charles R Furden.

The book is 338 pages and packed with stories, pictures and memories. As I read the book I felt as though I was transported back in time to the 50's, when the Utah Central Airport was hoppin'.

The book is titled Runway Dust: Airport Adventures during the Fabulous Fifties.

Here are a couple quotes from Charles book " It's been a long time since I've talked to anyone who was even aware of Utah central Airport's existence. But like so many other small airports around the country, it was at one time a very active airport. And it, like so many other small airports, does have a story to tell."

The pictures are wonderful and my favorite is the way Charles takes you back in time when the airport was at  3200 west 2100 South was a bustling airport.
