Jody

Jody Paras was born in Idaho in 1921 and passed away in 2015.  She moved to Salt Lake after right after High School and soon met and married Chris Paras.

Chris Paras was raised in Granger and his family owed The local Paras Market.

In 1958 Jody's little family opened Chris & Dick’s.  Chris is her husband and Dick is her son Richard. It is said that the "&" stands for Jody because she bound the two together.

Jody was very involved in the business and was always very visible in the store. Sometimes she ran the cash register and other times she managed the day to day operations of the store. Customers knew her by name.She was given several community awards for her service to the area. One was the 1987 Businesswoman of the Year.
