Chris Paras

Chris Paras was born in 1915 and passed away in 1983.  

His birth last name was Paraskevopoulos and his family shortened it to Paras.

He married the much loved Jody in 1942 and together they had one son, Richard.

Chris and his son Richard (Dick) opened their home improvement store in 1958.  His wife Jody was a favorite at the counter. The store has been renovated several times but stayed in the same vicinity. His brother’s store is right around the corner (John Paras Furniture).

The sign on Chris & Dicks was always a favorite. It was a Globe with the words “The World of Hardware Store”.

Chris & Dicks now specializes in Cabinets and Countertops. The community appreciates the Paras family for their dedication to the Granger Community.
