Estel Wright

Estel is one of the most instrumental reasons for the Granger-Hunter growth.

Estel was a man of vision and determination. If there was a job to be done you could count on Estel doing that job. Because of his banking position he was heavily engaged in subdividing Granger land and promoting building in our area.  Estel was President of American Savings & Loan, President and director of American Insurance & owner ofa Investment company and a Real-estate firm called  Write Reality and American Housing Corporation

Estel was also instrumental in the Granger -Hunter water line. Before he got involved everyone used their private well water for consumption. The water line was completed in about 1955.The area's growth brought the need for sewer lines and Estel fought long and hard to obtain a sewer line for the area.
