Walter Ewell
Walter had many vocations including operating a livestock business, crane man, worked with coal & mental in the mine industry. Walter worked as a clerk, accountant and auditor. He owned and operated the Day-Night Laundry and Dry Cleaning Center on Redwood Road and 3500 South for 15 years.
He was devoted to our community and served in many church positions and the Granger-Hunter Community council. He worked hard get the area the Granger High Swimming Pool and worked on widening 3500 south and 5600 west. He negotiated with Salt Lake County to install street lights and improve parks, He helped obtain the Granger-Hunter area a bus service and served on the city’s planning commission. He was active in the Granger-Hunter Lions club for 35 years, serving as president and chair for many years.
