Tony Marcooles

Born Antonios Marcoulidakis in Greece

As a teenager,  he immigrated to America and shortened his name to Tony Marcooles.   

Tony didn't waste any time, he got busy finding work and creating several businesses.

In the 1920's, he worked in the Park City mines.

In the 1930's, he owned a wonderful hotel on 56 W Broadway.

In the 1940's-1960's, Tony bought a large plot of land on the west side of 3300 South Redwood Road. He opened a wonderful restaurant named The Ace Cafe

The Marcooles family lived next to the restaurant at: 3360 s Redwood Rd for many years. Then they moved a little bit  west.

When Tony  passed away in October 1965 our hearts were broken. He created a wonderful restaurant and was a dedicated part of the community.

Tony's wonderful wife Aphrodite was a gem and a wonderful part of the community.

She passed away in 2013
