Ada Wauhob

Ada moved from Salina, Kansas to Granger in 1961 when her husband was transferred with  The Union Pacific.  Arthur and Ada soon made their home in the Scottsdale Neighborhood, which is at approximately at  3240 south and 4000 west of Granger.

Ada was active in the Lutheran Church at 2040 W 3500 South where she served on many boards. She was also on the woman's bowling league. She raised two daughters, Julia and Sara.  Ada was a friendly familiar face at the old Maverik Country Store on Bangerter and 35th. Ada managed the store for 4 years.

Ada's daughter said " She taught me a lot while she worked at Maverik, which was hard work, dedication, customer service, and how to count change back!    My moms favorite past time was gardening, where she had a gorgeous backyard of flowers, a waterfall, and a water lily pond. My mom was a very giving person, and always sharing flower starts and one year her overgrowth of beets!"

Ada passed away at the age of 84 in July 2014.

Ada and her husband Arthur celebrated 65 years of marriage!
