Marguerite was a talented woman. When she was in her late 1920's that she was stricken with Arthritis that just got progressively worse. For many years she was confined to a wheelchair and couldn't move her hands without excruciating pain.  She didn't let that stop her. She was a gifted artist and many family and friends received portraits of themselves by her.
