Wallace Toma was a great businessman. After WWII he moved to Salt Lake and he & the other Toma brothers started Wally's Flower Shop Inc.
Wally bought a large piece of land on the east side of Redwood Road and built a Garden House/ Green House. It was called Wally's Tropical Plants & Flowers. He also ran Wally's Flower Shop at 172 South Main Street for many years.
His wife Mildred went on to own Mildred's Flowers. Here is a picture of Wally, Mildred and one of their children from the State Archive Collection. Wally was very active in this community as well as the Salt Lake County.
