Steve Shea, we miss you!

It has been over 50 years since the tragic event that shook not only our community, but the  whole state of Utah.

Steve Shea was loved by all. He was a handsome, hardworking guy with a great personality. He enjoyed attending Granger High School and graduated in 1966. Those that were his friends tell wonderful stories about his humor, good nature and work ethic. Steve had many plans laid out for his future and everyone knew he would do wonderful things.

In 1966 on the cold crisp December evening, Steven was working alone at the Service Station at 4109 West 4715 South.  He had been working hard to save his money for his future as well as Christmas, which was just 6 days away.

Kelbach & Lance were cousins and extremely dangerous. They were ex-convicts with some evil plans.   The duo came into the service station, robed Steve of $147.00, kidnapped him and killed him.  Over the next 2 days this evil duo quickly went on to kill 4 others. Thankfully they were caught and sent to prison for life.

So many still has a aches from the loss of our handsome Steve Allen Shea.
