George Wallace aka Johnny Appleseed

He moved to Granger in 1875 and homesteaded 120 acres.

George  was known as the "Johnny Appleseed of Granger". He planted trees up and down 3200 West.  He had a green thumb and could make anything grow. He had the 1st nursery in the county, near West High School.

He worked hard at his own family farm and was always willing to help others in anyway he could. He was always friendly and kind and it was said that it would be almost impossible to ever meet a more humble, faithful or hardworking man.
