Glenn Weaver

The only photo I saw of a WVC Citizen (besides former Mayors & Council Members) on display at the City Offices. Do you remember Glenn Weaver? I remember the Glenn Weaver Park that WAS West of the Redwood Drive-in. It is now the New Granger Elementary School. What do you remember about Glenn?

Glenn was the city manager of Torrance California for many years. He took the job as the first West Valley City manager in 1980. He passed away from cancer in 1988 at the age of 58 while employed for the city. His kind demeanor and calm temperament endeared him to many. Last year the city dedicated a new park in his name at 6385 west and 4580 south. A wonderful man! - signed his nephew Matt Almond
