A little more about Estel

Did you know Estel Wright? In 1943 he and his beautiful wife moved to Granger Utah. Their home was located at 2727 W 3500 South.
He loved his small Granger garden and raised corn, vegetables and had a few chickens.
He was the President of American Savings and Loan. Estel is one of the most instrumental reasons for the Granger-Hunter growth. Because of his banking position he was engaged in subdividing Granger land and promoting building in our area.
He was instrumental in the Granger -Hunter water line. Before he got involved everyone used their private well water for consumption. The water line was completed in about 1955.The area's growth brought the need for sewer lines and Estel fought long and hard to obtain a sewer line for the area.
Estel married Leah Mouritsen, she taught business at Granite High and managed the family business, Wright Realty.
Estel was also president and director of American Insurance & Investment company and American Housing Corporation
