Mary Hovey Lambert

Mary was born in Millville in 1858.  She married into polygamy and became Charles Lambert's wife.

She was a wonderful musician and a hard-worker.

She decided to serve the community by became a nurse by studying under Dr Ellis Shipp.

She cared for the sick and nursed many back to health. She delivered many babies serving as a midwife.

I have read many histories that have talked about the wonderful care Mary gave to her patients.

Many have written about Mary serving them Cornmeal Gruel and Bottled fruit to help them heal and get better.

She wasn't able to have children but she was given custody of a wonderful child named Geneveive
