Fairbourn Station Receipt  dated 1916

Joseph Fairbourn was 59 yrs old when he weighed Thomas Barton's Wheat. Look closely at the receipt and you will see that the wheat was a Tithing Donation for the LDS Church.

Fairbourn Tithing Receipt

Thank you to Thomas Barton's family (Bill Barton) for sharing this receipt that is fragile and over 100 years old with me.

The receipt shows 3310 pounds of Wheat was accepted and 1750 lbs of Tares.

Joseph Fairbourn was put in charge of weighing tithing and stacking

Thomas Barton was 43 yrs old when he donated his Wheat.

Thomas Barton donated 3300 lbs of wheat

 That is 55 bushels of wheat

That is enough wheat to make....

5,000 loaves of bread!!!

1,750 lbs of Tares that they probably fed to animals.
