Bangerter Feed Mill
Frederick & Maria Bangerter
Owners of the Bangerter Feed Mill
Frederick L Bangerter began milling barley on his small, hand grinding mill in 1892
He had the first commercial enterprise in the area. Soon neighbors needed Frederick to grind their wheat and other grain.
Soon Frederick bought the very first gasoline engine to power his grinder. There was so much work for him to do that he worked from sun-up to sun-down and beyond.
A few years later Frederick bought a larger grinder and engine but they still were not big enough for all the business he had.
By 1902 he had purchased a large enough grain roller and grinder.
In 1916 he moved the business right on the Orem Line Railroad Track.at 3650 south 3600 west.
Frederick and Alice kept up to 125 beehives and supplied honey for the community. One year they measured 10,000 pounds of honey

They also planted many Linden/Basswood Trees
This was to keep their bees happy. Keep your eyes open because many of the trees they planted are still in the area.
