Maxine Smith Holder

Maxine was the daughter of John and Vitate Cook Smith and the granddaughter of Manasseh and Mary Ann Smith. He mother Vitate died when she was just 4 yrs old.  John married Vitate's sister Mary Cook. 

Maxine was a "Granger Darling". She was very helpful on her families farm and won many contests for her ability to milk a cow.   Below is an article about her winning a contest at the Salt Lake Dairy Fair. She produced the most milk in a 2 minute period.
