Velma Harman and Dutch Hoggan such a great team!
Velma was born and raised in Granger. She was the daughter of Grace & David Harman. In 1919 her mother died of the Flu. Her father then married "Carrie" (Grace's sister who's husband had died 7 yrs before). Together the cousins became brother/sisters and were all raised in the Harman Home at 4090 South 3600 West.
Here is a picture of the Harman Kids all grown up.
In 1926 our beauty Velma Harman married the handsome Albert "Dutch" Hoggan. Dutch's family owned a large acreage family farm at 3304 W 4700 South.
Soon "Dutch" Hoggan built the Dutchess Bar B Q at 2956 W 3500 So.
Everyone loved the Dutchess Bar B-Q. Everyone loved Dutch and Velma!
Dutch and Velma raised chickens. Velma's little brother Pete Harman purchased them for his KFC Harman Cafe.
