How did we survive without seatbelts & sidewalks?

I love finding candid photo's of yesterday. Here is a picture showing Kids by Stansbury Elementary walking home from school without sidewalks.

There were so many things that we just didn't think about growing up. We ate raw cookie dough from the mixing spoon, didn't wear our seatbelts, drank out of the back yard hose and never wore helmets to ride our bikes. Somehow we survived it.
