Oh the Perks & Promotions!

June 1956 was an exciting time for the area. The Beautiful & very modern American Savings Building was finally opened and families in the area could borrow & save with many perks.

Customers could choose between many gifts for deposits.

The Norm Stark family still have this wonderful bank from the Granger American Savings.

Coins are slipped in the side slot and it automatically knows and adds up the savings that is hidden inside. Pam Stark Halford told me that this was an exciting way for the Stark children to save. She enjoyed when her mother (Kate) would take the little ones to American Savings, open it with the key & put the coins in their savings accounts.
