Gilbert 'Bob" Childs

Gilbert Childs, or Bob as he was known, was a fantastic man.

He was always even tempered, calm and thoughtful. He always thought of others and was kind. His good manners were always evident in his personal as well as professional life.

Bob was a hard worker. His career in the service industry began as a stock boy and later a bag boy at Safeway’s. He worked very hard and soon found himself in store management.  He worked for Safeway’s for many years and then  took his wonderful people skills and opened his own business.

He owned the Granger Bumper to Bumper, located at 3495 West 3500 South. Employees loved working with Bob, Customers loved buying from Bob. He was genuine, knowledgeable and fair. He was a great asset to the Granger Utah community, he was a wonderful neighbor and family man.    Bob passed away October 2001
