A beautiful way to remember yesterday

I was at the West Valley City Offices for a quick meeting today and I found out how & who created these beautiful tiles. Here is information I got about them from the city today

The Glazed Porcelain Tiles are 6"x12". They were designed by Michael Moonbird, Victoria Lyons and two art teachers from Westlake Jr High ( June Christiansen and David Jorgensen)

With their direction 18 West Lake Jr High art students designed and glazed the tiles.

Margaret Petersen and her team from the Community Education Partnership oversaw the project. John Riddle Installed the Tiles in various places in the city.

The beautiful tiles on this blog are on the exterior of the entry to the West Valley City offices.
