William C Breeze & his Beautiful Bride Ethel

William and Ethel Breeze were a wonderful asset to the area. They worked hard at home and still made time to be extremely involved in the lives of their children and the community.

Here is a short story of their life by a member of their family

Shortly after Grandpa & Grandma were married (1911) , they purchased a farm of their own on the comer of 4700 South and 4000 West in Granger Utah.  The home’s address was 3997 W 4700 South.

They bought this farm from the Jackson family. It had a four room, red brick home on it and a small barn and granary. It also had an outhouse and a well.  There wasn’t any inside plumbing or running water in those days and they used sears catalogues for toilet paper in the outhouse.

They drew water from the well with a rope and a bucket. There was no electricity for years. They used kerosene lamps for light. No push button furnaces, just coal and wood stoves for heat and cooking. They loved the farm and other than a few years when they worked and lived on his Dad’s farm and at the Evans place, they spent their entire life working this farm.

They lived a completely self-sufficient life with their productive farm. The Breeze Farm was a great place to raise a family. They had a great love for each other and all of their children and grandchildren.

There isn’t a grandchild that does not have a great love for William and Ethel & the Breeze farm.

Many happy hours were spent living, working, laughing and playing on the Breeze Farm.
