Woody Parker

Woody will be best remembered for his sense of humor and loved everyone he met. No matter where he went someone would recognize him.

Woody W. Parker, age 83, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001 in Salt Lake City.

Woody was born July 10, 1918 in Salt Lake City to Charles and Lucinda Brown Parker. On Sept. 18, 1937, he married Ruth Bills in Salt Lake City. She preceded him in death on Dec. 2, 1984. On January 3, 1998, he married Shirley Sivertson in Salt Lake City, who had been his best friend for many years.

Woody served in the Navy as a Seabee in the Aleutian Islands and on Guam. He was honorably discharged in 1945. He then worked for Standard Oil and then owned and operated a Chevron station in Sugarhouse for many years.

From there he had Woody's Milk Depot in Granger Utah until he retired. Woody will be best remembered for his sense of humor and loved everyone he met. No matter where he went someone would recognize him.

Woody is survived by his wife, Shirley; two sons, Gary (Patty) Parker, and Steven (Sammi) Parker; three stepsons, Todd (Rachelle) Sivertson, Ralph (Maria) Sivertson, and Scott (Michelle) Sivertson; many grandchildren and great-grandchil-dren; one sister, Raeola (Dick) Burbidge. Preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Judith Ann; one brother and one sister.

The family would especially like to thank Robin for the extra love and attention that she gave to Woody. He fired her and rehired her.
