Lynn & Jean Packard
Lynn passed away in 1981 and I can't find his obituary. Please share your memories of him. I know he was the much loved owner of the Gas Station/ Car Wash on 3500 S 3200 W (N/E corner)

Jean Petersen Packard was a wonderful neighbor, friend and a great wife to her husband Lynn Packard. from her obituary:Aug 23, 1915 - Nov 07, 2011
Our tender caring mother, grandma and great-grandma, returned to her Heavenly Father, and the loving embrace of her husband, on November 7, 2011. Jean was born August 23, 1915 to Leroy Petersen and Fern Hill in Granger, Utah; she was one of nine children. Jean graduated from Cyprus High School where she met the love of her life, Lynn. Lynn Rue Packard and Jean were married on September 26, 1939. She devoted her life to her family that she loved very much. Jean was a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served her Heavenly Father in numerous positions. She served as Primary president and Sunday School teacher but her greatest joy was being Relief Society president of her Granger ward. She served also as a temple worker at the Jordan River Temple for 20 plus years. Jean was a messenger of good will for all she came in contact with, endeavoring to bring peace to all. Jean was generous, loving and always a lady in everything she participated in. Jean is survived by her dedicated, loving son, Michael (Char) Packard, twin granddaughters, Adrianne (Corby) Merchant, Erin Anne (Phillip) Harrison; and grandson, Jacob Packard; also 2 great-grandsons, Xavier Harrison and Carson Merchant; and brother, Nelson (Lois) Petersen. Preceded in death by husband, Lynn; and son, Lynn R. Packard Jr. Special thanks to Hazen Care Center staff for their loving care of our mother. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 14, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where viewings will be held Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and Monday, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
