Walt Brock

Walt’s motto was “Life is not exactly easy as there was always much work to be done”. His family bought a farm in Granger and luckily Walt was a hard worker. Walt topped many sugar beets , grew celery, asparagus, lettuce, onions and potatoes He had many cows, chickens . He worked for the State Road Commission clearing the snow off of 3500 So. He plowed the canyon roads as well as patched and repaired the roads.  He was most loved when he became the manager of the Granger-Hunter Improvement District which position he held for 13 years .  He was very involved in the North Jordan Irrigation Company and served on the Board of Directors. He was vital in pushing the incorporation of West Valley City..
