Today I took a drive down 3500 South with Rasmus Nielson's great-grandaughter.

His grandaughters name is Gail Davis Warr and she is such an amazing woman. She married Dennis Warr and they moved onto Dennis's great Grandfather land on 3600 W. They still live there.

Here is a picture of Rasmus Nielson's home. I am holding a picture of Rasmus with some of his family members standing in front of the home. Rasmus built the home in 1884 as a 2 story home. Then in 1904 he took off the top floor and added the 2 wings off to the sides of the home.

Rasmus purchased land from approx 4900 West to 5600 West. The arrow is where his home is.

After we left her Great Grandfathers Nielson's home, we drove down 3500 south and then up 5600 west. We talked about all the wonderful people that lived and still live in the area. Gail knows so much about the Hunter Area. We even stopped and looked at the old "Doxi" Rock Home. ....... I will write another blog post about that home and the other homes we talked about.

The home and surrounding property has been sold to a developer and plans are brewing to change this lot into a group of condominuums.
