Our beautiful Midwife and Medical Expert-Elizabeth

Elizabeth Hill Park was born in 1840 in Canada. She moved to Illinois in 1842 and then came with her parents to Utah with the Allred Company in 1849. She married John Parks and they lived in Millcreek for 23 yrs.

In 1879 John, Elizabeth and their 6 children moved to Granger.

Early in her life she became a midwife, she learned how to set broken bones and received her Territorial Diploma/State Medical License.  She was a master as setting bones with splints. She was available at all hours of the night for any medical emergency. She charged for her services but often didn't receive payment. She saved many lives and was dedicated to the community. She was wise, talented and hardworking. She always gave everything she had in order to better a situation. She is often referred to as "blessed" because of the countless hours she spent helping those in need.

She died in her Granger home in 1911 at the age of 68.
